Rollins Announces New Leadership for Hamilton Holt School
A Message from Donald L. Davison, Ph.D., Interim Vice-President for Academic Affairs and Interim Provost
I am delighted to announce two new appointments to the leadership team of the Hamilton Holt School. Professor of Psychology Stacey Dunn has accepted the position of Interim Dean of the Hamilton Holt School, effective July 15.
Dr. Dunn’s involvement in Holt has extended beyond the psychology program. She has been an active participant in many strategic planning groups, has served on the selection committee for student awards, and has worked with the Office of Admission to attract and facilitate enrollment for transfer students. During the summer of 2022, she had the opportunity to participate in a faculty trip to Vienna, Austria to learn about sustainable development goals and explore how to infuse them into the Holt curriculum. She has also served the College on several task forces and dozens of committees, including the faculty salary and compensation task force, the Professional Standards Committee, wellness and student life committees, the Institutional Research Board, and the Hume House Child Development & Student Research Center Admissions Committee. She also serves students through the Student-Faculty Collaborative Research Program.
Dr. Dunn obtained her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology with a Public Health Education minor and her M.A. in Clinical Psychology from the University of South Florida and a B.A. in Psychology from George Washington University. Her scholarship is in the areas of body image, eating behavior, mindfulness, and compassion. She has authored more than 40 articles in peer-reviewed scientific journals and two academic books published by American Psychological Association. She has served on the editorial board for premier journals in her field.
Prior to coming to Rollins, Dr. Dunn served on the faculty at UCF for 18 years, where she was a founding member of the clinical psychology Ph.D. Program and later directed the clinical psychology master’s program.
As a licensed psychologist with more than 25 years of clinical experience, Dr. Dunn maintains a small private practice in Winter Park where she provides evidence-based therapy and coaching in relationship skills, stress management, and compassionate leadership. She volunteers her services to several community organizations, including the American Cancer Society’s R.O.C.K. Camp (Reaching out to Cancer Kids), and Boggy Creek Gang, a Hole in the Wall Gang Camp for chronically ill children and their families.
In addition to announcing Dr. Dunn’s leadership at the Hamilton Holt School this year, I’m also happy to announce that Doragnes Bradshaw, who has been integral to the day-to-day operations of Holt, has been promoted from Director of Holt Operations to Assistant Dean for Holt.
Doragnes joined Rollins in 2018, serving as the associate director of integrated marketing in the Office of Admissions. She also served as director of major gifts development in Institutional Advancement. Doragnes has served on various Rollins committees, including new program development task forces, Global Initiatives Committee, DEIB Steering Committee, multiple faculty and staff search committees and task forces. Along with Dr. Dunn, Doragnes participated in the Holt School Faculty Immersion to Vienna to study the sustainable development goals. She is also the chapter advisor for the Rollins Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) student organization. Outside of Rollins, Doragnes actively serves the community as a board/committee member for organizations such as University Professional Continuing Education Association (UPCEA), Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), Senior Resource Alliance, Women’s Executive Council, and the Heart of Florida United Way.
Doragnes is a proud Rollins alumna, she holds an MBA from the Crummer Graduate School of Business, a B.A. in Communication Studies with a concentration in organizational leadership and communication from the Hamilton Holt School and is currently pursuing her doctoral degree in leadership and gender studies.
Prior to transitioning careers to academia, Doragnes led various teams for 20 years at the American Automobile Association (AAA) North America in the areas of emergency road service training and development, technology implementation, and contact center operations. She has been continuously recognized for her leadership over the years, as well as earning the Outstanding Graduating Senior and Fiat Lux award as a Holt School student.
Together, Stacey and Doragnes will actively work with the Holt School Advisory Board and alumni to advance higher education for working adult learners in Central Florida. We are excited to have these exceptional leaders at the helm.
